My nearly forgotten portuguese banknote collection, all issued before the removal from circulation and the introduction of the Euro, in 2002.
The portuguese "escudos" were in circulation since 1911.

50 Escudos - Queen Santa Isabel - 1964
The uncirculated portuguese Banknote depicted in the image is illustrated withthe portrait of Santa Isabel (Queen of Portugal and the Algarves during 1777-1816), in reddish-brown colors. In the reverse, an old engraving representing the city of Coimbra, with one large ornate circular arms.
